Madam Silk - April 30th
A mesmerizing co-production between Fidget Feet (Ireland) and Cie Drapès Aerièns (France) is set to thrill and inspire Alley patrons.
Centred on three aerialist performers, the trio use aerial fabric to create an atmosphere that is both sensual and visually beautiful. Madam Silk uses circus skills, dance, movement and film to express the unique relationship that women have with life and with each other.
Ripple Affect - May 14th
What do you do after you have been hugged, or hugged someone? What resonates in your body and memory and where does that lead you?
Artistic Director, Steve Batts used these questions to devise, direct and choreograph a movement performance for five technically gifted and creative female dancers. Live music is performed by sisters Lorna, Karen and Joleen McLaughlin who make up Donegal based band The Henry Girls.
Eight women produce a warm and inviting blend of duets, solos and group dances, vocal harmony and rich instrumentation.
The Alley Theatre is delighted to welcome Echo Echo, Northern Ireland’s leading Dance Company, based in the North West.
