Lifford Players presents: Dancing at Lughnasa

Wed 18 Apr 2018
Tickets from £7 - £10

It is 1936, harvest time in Ballybeg, where the five Mundy sisters live, barely making ends meet. The two male members of the household are brother Jack, a missionary priest, sent home from Africa by his superiors and seven-year-old Michael, child of Chris. In depicting two days in the lives of this family,  Friel evokes the interior landscape of a group of people trapped in their domestic situation and also the wider landscape of which they are a part.
