Danny McGilloway, an Irish Folk Singer, is also a songwriter of some standing who has been successfully playing the folk circuit for several years. A former member of the brilliant Irish Folk band “Thundering Dawn”. Playing extensively in Irish pubs & clubs through out England, Scotland and Europe and sharing the stage with some of Ireland’s top folk entertainers, Christy Moore, Francis Black and Dolores Keane to name but a few. He has performed in Dublin along side one of Ireland’s top song writers, Pete St John, Composer of the legendary “Fields of Athenry”. And performed in festivals across Europe. Taking in the Strib Festival in Denmark, the Jersey Irish Festival in The Channel Islands and Camden Festival in London where he met American Blues Singer, the late Johnny Silvo who described Danny’s voice as being like that of a “guardian of Heavens pearly gates” finally he has entertained in McCallion’s Irish Pub in Kaufbeuren, Germany. His repertoire of self-penned songs would deal with subjects close to the Irish heart-love, loss, emigration, peace, and issues of a contemporary nature.
